9/20/2023 0 Comments Monster truck championship switch![]() Monster Truck Championship boasts multiple features to increase immersion, such as crowd cheers, the characteristic throbbing engines and collision damage. The aim is to take home the ultimate prize: become the Professional League Champion at the Monster Truck Finals! Monster Truck Championship also has a career mode where players take part in different tournaments, upgrade their Monster Trucks after wins, and manage their team and finances. This new video highlights the content included in Monster Truck Championship. Over a dozen elements are customizable in total, so all drivers can show off their skills in unique style and handling, in both solo mode and online competitions. Other details can be modified, such as the vehicle's color, front and rear accessories, and stickers. In Monster Truck Championship, players can race on 25 circuits in different cities across the United States in several game modes: freestyle, race, destruction, time attack, and an online mode where up to eight players can race against each other.Įach vehicle has many customization options to improve its performance and handling: change the engine for better acceleration and higher maximum speed, switch tires to adjust the monster truck's traction or choose the best suspensions for the most impressive tricks you want to pull off! All these elements can also be finely tuned to ensure the vehicle is tailored to the different challenges available. For instance, performing tricks is still a nuisance and the sound design couldn’t have been any less exciting than it already is.However, don't expect to perform impossible aerial stunts by simply pushing down the accelerator: players need to master the vehicle physics to set new race records and to pull off the kinds of realistic tricks that drivers perform in real competitions. This is still a mid-tier last-gen game taking advantage of a brand new console’s ridiculous horsepower to hide some of its ugly scars. Assets remain a bit ugly and the textures are subpar. I do need to alert you that, despite looking much better than its last-gen counterpart, the PS5 version of Monster Truck Championship still doesn’t look or feel like a next-gen game at all, with the exception of the basically nonexistent loading times. Sadly, the game does not take advantage of the DualSense’s haptic feedback in any way, unlike DIRT 5 or MXGP 2020. As to be expected, this makes the gameplay a bit more enjoyable as well, as you’ll never have to worry about input delays. It runs at an ever constant 60fps, no matter how many cars are onscreen, how detailed the background is, or how ridiculous of a paint job your truck might have. ![]() Good news though! Thanks to the sheer power of the PlayStation 5, this version of Monster Truck Championship features much better visuals, resolution, and performance. Even though controlling the trucks themselves wasn’t terribly complicated, the horrible framerate made things much more annoying than they should have been.Ī vast improvement over the last-gen versions, but still far from what to expect from the PlayStation 5’s capabilities. This would also impact on the game’s controls and responsiveness. It would tank to single digits if way too many trucks were onscreen at any given time, such as during the beginning of a race, for instance. Its resolution was underwhelming, its loading times were significant, and the framerate was disappointing. Monster Truck Championship did not run very well on an Xbox One. ![]() ![]() The main difference between this brand new build from last year’s version is its performance. This hasn’t changed at all, so if you’re looking for a crazier monster truck game (and if you’re into this kind of sport, you most certainly are), Monster Jam Steel Titans is still the way to go. This is still the same game that paled in comparison to its main THQ Nordic rival, with its unenthusiastic presentation and career mode. First of all, let’s state the obvious: content-wise, this is still the same Monster Truck Championship from 2020. ![]()
